The last few days have seen a lot of strikes by public cervants in the Netherlands. Among them some of the fire fighters of Amsterdam. One of them had a bright idea to get some attention: a big bang.
Somehow this fireman managed to get a practise fire grenade into the terminal. (the demonstration was legit) He threw it in a trash can, and the top of the can is now part of the ceiling.
For a short while there was panic as people thought there was an terrorist attack. One person was taken to the first aid post at the airport to get treatment to the ear.
The airport is looking at ways to get damages repaid. Going to court is not ruled out.
