…On-line Display Team.
Well, i’ve been trying to organise this for a long time and now it has finally come to fruition! The VBF had it’s first practice session over the weekend at 3/4 strength and the results as you’ll see in the screen shots are quite encouraging! 🙂
The whole aim of the VBF is to carry on where the real life team finished and continue to perform the scintilating formation aerobatic routines with four completely different warbirds.
We fly the official Breitling Team schedule seen at airshows worldwide with the full size team and hope to do it justice. All aircraft are painted in the 2003/04 liveries and in addtion to the 4 ship display a fictitious duo called the ‘soviet pair’ will also be operated doing fast tail chase aeros and opposition manoeuvers. An La7 will be masquerading as the La9 and the Yak3 will lead the pair. Further details will follow soon.
At the moment we are looking to recruit one more pilot for the #4 position flying the F4U Corsair. They must have FB+AEP+PF merged install and be able to practice online fairly regularly.
A website will be online within the next month with more details on the team and we also hope to produce a full length display video soon to show us in action.
Enjoy the screen shots…

Hi guys, just got back from a week in the beautiful Emerald Isle sampling the countryside and the real black stuff 😉 !!
I will be individually replying to the PM’s that people sent me but here is some general news regarding the VBF… Yes, ‘that’ Corsair still requires a pilot, but i have also decided that i just haven’t the time to fly the VBF and the VBF:SovietPair so i am looking for two eager pilots to fill the cockpits of a Yak3 and an La7. I would like to think that the pair will develop in it’s own right and allow for pilot training for the entire VBF team, although two dedicated pilots that conduct the majority of displays would be essential allowing the rest of us to fill in when neccesary.
The website will be updated soon to include more skin files and a new non-VBF feature movie will be available soon, so watch this space!

You might want to keep an eye out for “242Sqn” then if your interested chaps. 4 of us from here are members of the Squad. Those people being myself, Trumper, Eddie, and Tazzers 🙂
We fly on saturday nights and can be found on hyperlobby should you ever wish to say hello. Maybe we could organise a IL-2 meet up one day 🙂

The VBF website is now online. This is only a stop-gap site until the Flash one is ready, but at least it’s a start. It includes a few pages on the team and a downloads page where you’ll be able to get the latest videos and skins. Check out the site here… Virtual Breitling Fighters

Yes Tony, we are still seeking a pilot to fly the Corsair. Are you running a merged install of IL2FB+AEP+PF?

Excellent Chris, although your landing was a little bumpy!
I know, tell me about it! All the other practices – ace landings, nice three pointers. When it comes to recording, bump bang bounce arrgghh! 😀 😀 😀
Thanks for the comments guys, sorry about the size of the file, i’m working on that as we speak. Should have the file size reduced somewhat when i get a hang of this compression malarky in Premiere!
I hope to have a basic website up soon, maybe even tomorrow if i stay awake long enough tonight! It’ll have some basic info, screenshots and video clips.
Watch this space, as they say! 😉

Well done Chris!
