The follow definition isnt permitted by easyJet and other carriers in hold or cabin:

Gas cylinders. Deeply refrigerated flammable, non-flammable, and poisonous gases such as butane, oxygen, propane, and aqualung cylinders. Includes butane gas (eg for use with heated hair appliances) camping gas, and chef’s blow torches

does oxygen cylinders etc like ones used for diving have to be left with value open so they dont get too high a pressure inside?

Thank you Ren. Here it is, sorry I am not sure it the generators contained pressurized oxygen.

Date of Accident: 11 May 1996

Or taking it to the extreme, high-pressure gas bottles (e.g Oxygen, etc) has to be declared as dangerous cargo….hahaha

There is a good reason though. IIRC in the late 80’s or early 90’s a plane departing from a south eastern Florida airport, maybe MIA, crashed because mis-labeled oxygen containers caused and explosion in the cargo hold. Sorry I dont remember the details exactly but it went down over the Everglades causing many problems for recovery/rescue.

Cans of pop etc no probs. An interesting item to take on an aircraft is a large bag of crisps! We bought some for a flight home from India – the bag ended up like an inflatable travel pillow!

interesting, I’ll have to try that

I always take deodorant in my cabin baggage, for long flights. Never had a problem with security or anything.

I have too, but I’m sure you’re not supposed too? I usually buy a roll on type for travelling just to be sure.

If your talking deodorant and other aerosols, I believe they have to go in the hold luggage ?

Sam

Airlines frequently server Chapagne to first class pax from the bottle. Thats pressurised. You also get Can of coke, 7up, Sprite et al.

I’d say the general answer is yes.
