The 330’s were on their way back to the US from Iraq having been out there for some months.
I assume that the original plan was that they were to be replaced by the two 360s that crashed near Milwaukee as these were due to be flying out there 🙁

The S330s were there on Friday as well, so I guess they must have over-nighted.
I’ve seen that Ryanair/Boeing 737 at other airport, noteably East Midlands doing touch and gos (For about an hour it was always within site of the terminal)
Anyyone know if the Ryanair aircraft on the North side are stored there?

Is the Boeing/ryanair blue their new colour scheme or is it MOs way of trying to yet again save more money on a paint job either way I really like it?
It’s Boeing’s (new) house livery Jim. Certain Boeing customers have agreed to don the livery on various Boeing types as a form of brand awareness on the part of Boeing.
It can or could also be found on a Korean Air 737-900, a China Airlines 747-400 and the as mentioned Air Berlin 737.

Would those Sherpas have made the Atlantic crossing? If so, I pity the crews! Otherwise, are they based in the UK or Europe? (military question, I know, but they are here in Commercial).
AFAIK They are National Guard machines, so would normally be found within the USA ? Presumably they’ve become involved in Iraq somehow and are routing through PIK for fuel enroute to or from the US ???

If you’d been around GLA in the early 80’s, you’d have had plenty of the civilian variant to snap all day long. Nowadays the only “330’s” to be found are of the Airbus variety…. 😀
