Prestwick viewing?

Could I please have some tips of viewing at Prestwick. I’m interested in this area:http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=489087

Can you park your car nearby?

Cheers,

Chris

Yep, to the left of the road at the ATC access gates. I still call it the mound, maybe the “mini mound” would be a better description ? (lol) Same general spot though.

That’s taken from ‘the mound’ and is easy to get to on foot and by car from the main airport area.

Here’s a reply to a similar question posted on the forum at www.egpf.co.uk (thanks to AMC)

“If you have transpost its easy to get to. However it is only about a 15 min walk from the train station.

From the main terminal take the to road as if you are going to Prestwick town centre. At the roundabout beside the golf range take the second left into Shawfarm road. Continue along passed the small football park until you come to a set of traffic lights, then turn left.

Follow the road round passed the cemerery then take a left again. This will bring you to a road that leads to the mound.

It is a raised bit of ground where you will get excellent pictures of taxing and landing aircraft on 31.”
