Cathay Pacific have whistleblown into the sharing of “commericially sensitive information” including prices with Virgin on the London-Hong Kong route over a number of years. BBC story

VS did the same with BA and claimed innocence. Their turn to wallow in their own mess for a while.
Virgin Atlantic said it did “not believe that it has acted in any way contrary to the interests of consumers”
I’m sure BA used the same defence!

Oooops.
Interesting competition law: if 2 parties engage in anti-competitive behaviour, the party which blows the whistle first gains immunity.
Summary: Virgin got shafted?
