Price of a 'Pint'

In these cash strapped days I was looking for an inexpensive pint and happened across a ‘real ale’ Pub in Stockport Cheshire which sells ‘Cask Bitter at £1.34 and a lovely drink it was [Sam Smiths] , do you think that the major breweries aren’t trying hard enough in these hard times to keep The Pubs open , as these water holes are rapidly becoming an endangered species !
