Just booked a BA flight from Heathrow to Amsterdam leaving on 30th September, returning on 4th October. The best price i got was £178 Rtn in Club Europe Incl all taxes and charges. Surely that can’t be right??
Just seems a little on the cheap side!
Should i expect an e-mail from BA.com to say they made a mistake??

Does it need to be BA lounge? I was not particulary talking about the BA business lounge which is not really the best in any case.
An independent lounge certainly costs a big amount less than travelling business class just to get free access. This was my point.

You can pay to use the lounge for about 1 third of the price.
You can’t pay to get into BA’s lounge 🙂

I have experianced the “full club experiance” and a pleasue it was too.
The reason i’m going club for a 40 minute flight is because i’m going to be at the airport 4-5 hours befor..and i can use the lounge facilities to freshen up etc etc.

Sorry, I was looking at economy instead of club. However, how much difference can there be on a 40 minute flight (hour and a half if you include taxiing).
I’d say club is not worth the additional expense unless you are desperate to be able to brag you’ve been in club. And even then, it’s not as though you experienced the full club experience.

You call that cheap?
Look I got a deal for you. You give me that money and let me book a flight for you. I will keep the change OK?
Try BMI, then you will quote less then half that price (89.10) for a return all-in. A tenner cheaper still if you are willing to get some unfavourable flight times.
Have fun in AMS. If you need some advice on spotting here let me know.

Ive just had a look, BA priced the route from gatwick as £178 on the dates youv’e chosen, but Heathrow is more at £232. Its still a good fare for business.

Once you’ve booked it for that price BA can’t change it.

For a 35 min flight, that sounds just right to me

I got 90.10 on Economy, so I guess it’s correct.
