The Program Costs for Exporting Western Fighters in the Recent Years:
F-22 (Estimation for selling to Japan): 290 million USDs per fighter (R&D cost + Taking-off cost)
EF-2000 (The deal with RSAF in 2007):
1. 4.43 billion pounds / 6.4 billion Euros / 8.5 billion USDs for 72 fighters at that time –> 118 million USDs per fighter.
2. 10 billions / 19 billion USDs for 72 fighters (Estimation of the price tag which includes the maintenance and operating costs for 25 years) —> 264 million USDs per fighter.
Rafale (FX-2 deal with Brazil in 2009):
5.5 to 6.5 billion Euros / 8.2 to 9.7 billions USDs for 36 fighters (including the costs for spares, weapons, maintenance, training, and so on.) —> 228 to 270 million USDs per fighter.
F/A-18E/F (FX-2 deal with Brazil in 2009):
7.0 billion USDs for 36 fighters (including the costs for spares, a little amount of weapons, maintenance, training, and so on.) —> 194 million USDs per fighter.
F-16C/D Block52 (Deal with Egypt in 2009):
3.2 billion USDs for 24 fighters (including the costs for spares, a little amount of weapons, maintenance, training, and so on.) —> 133 million USDs per fighter.
