Most likely Percivals………… Was in their ownership (later Huntings) until 1960. See G-INFO.

That’s it! I’ve dug out my old Ian Allen and they have it down as Hunting Percival. Cheers Mike.

I only saw this a/c once when it landed at Farnborough at mid-day 8th Sept 1956. It was pale blue and belonged to one of the manufacturers displaying but I don’t have a note of which one,

Well spotted, that man. I hadn’t noticed! Nor was I aware that the OP hasn’t been active on this forum since November 2008. Still, any excuse to see a few more nice images of Proctors!
If what the OP says at http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?p=982995#post982995 is correct – and I have no reason to doubt it – it appears that Tango Charlie is not the only poster to have had a forbear who owned G-AGTC. Not knowing Tango Charlie’s true identity, I cannot exclude his father from the following list of owners in the 1960s:
– Michael Dible
– Symon (?) Biddulph
– William Barber
– David Harbottle
and thus narrow down the field from which to identify the OPs grandfather.

Nice pics but this thread is six years old and the op hasn’t posted on the forum since 2008. 🙂

Isn’t Tango Charlie the man to ask about G-AGTC? Am I correct in thinking that this was his late father’s aeroplane?

Blimey – this is a zombie thread!
Here’s my offering. Post-war Percival publicity shot featuring G-AGTC. Fuselage was pale blue and wings were silver.

Taken at Luton sometime between 1954 and 1958 at the Percival Rally Luton airport (whatever that was) with WV614 in the foreground and G-AGTC just visible behind.

There was a guy amassed a huge collection of pictures from shortly after the war.
He died, but his family still run a small business selling them.
I got a picture of my aircraft from the day it was uncrated at Vigors Aviation, Kidlington, back in 1960.
I just can’t remember the name – sorry.
Anybody?
Edit: Yes I can. Six images of TC available from here
