Proctor emblem?

Is there anyone out there who knows the meaning of the ‘winged circle’ enclosing the letters JH that was displayed on the cowling of Derby Airways Proctor G-AHTE?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

Proctor emblem

It is indeed close to me, & the owner is my friend of mine– last week-end we uncovered her remains & laid them out in the ‘shape’ of a beautiful Mk5 — this was when we noticed the cowling emblem

Hi Dustyone.

Just a thought – might “JH” be the initials of Mrs Harben (widow of Roy Harben company founder) who was, for a while, the major shareholder.

Interestingly Bill Gunston’s book “Diamond Flight” (about British Midlands and it’s predecessors) doesn’t include Proctor G-AHTE in the fleet lists.

Roger Smith.
