Something else to add to the pile of bits we’re looking for I’m afraid, 2BA Oddie Nut Plates. We need about 60 of them. Please, if you have some please drop me a message. Thank you

Try Weald Aviation at North Weald, they have a scrap JP rear fuselage sitting behind the hangars (cockpit went to a collector a long time ago).

Here’s a photo of (almost!) the type of Jet Provost static vent port we’re looking for. The one in the photo is for a JP5/Strikemaster and has a two hole per plate arrangement and unfortunately can’t be used. The type we need is the earlier version, for the JP3 (and possibly 4, not sure about that) and has a single hole per plate. We need two of these plates – does anyone have some or know of a derelict JP from which a pair could be recovered? Thank you.

And after a couple of Avimo (I believe) static plates for a Provost or JP3 (JP5 and Strikey had different plates – not sure about JP4). I think the number is 6A/1044108 or some derivation thereof. Hopefully a photo should appear…….
Again, there are probably bucket loads of these out there, somewhere……Thank you

Seeking an old style 10B/16779 whip aerial as used on Vampires, Meteors etc. Pretty standard for RAF types of the time, there should be buckets of them kicking around somewhere. Looking for the complete units, or just the antenna part itself as I have a few bases already (hopefully the photos have uploaded)

Looking for a straight in line, not right angled, Pye connector, as used in Gee and WS19 sets, to complete an installation.

Thanks

Hi all
Anyone have a Graviner Fire Extinguisher (50-60’s era) for my Auster rebuild? Looks like this one below (pic plucked from the ‘net’). Prefer one in good condition with no dents so it can be overhauled. Would be nice if the sticker was in tact so I could get a copy made to stick back on.

Jet Provost Parts

Hi, we urgently need a set of Jet Provost static vents, one situated each side of the rear fuselage ahead of the fin. Does anyone have a set, or access to any of the derelict JP airframes around the UK which may yield the parts? Any help very much appreciated. Many thanks

Turns out the oil pressure gauge I have is the direct-read type so oil pressure goes direct to the instrument unlike the capillary type David mentions. So a lot simpler for me as a few 1/8th BSP fittings, a copper tube and a flexible hose and I’m connected. Ron Neal a UK based Auster expert is helpfully sending me the factory drawings for the installation.

Looking for one of these if anyone has any leads on one? Tried some of the usual outlets and nothing found so far.

Have a couple of bits for possible trade

Its not. Its a capilliary -same type used on Chipmunk and getting difficult to get hold of in good order.
