I have two laminations of a two bladed wooden propeller, cut short around the boss, and I wondered whether anyone might be able to identify it for me and possibly the type of engine and aircraft.
These are the details: –
AID stamp – either AID 98K or AID 9BK
G1 stamped into the laminations (G on one and 1 on the other)
Possible following letters stamped into the front “MOHO”
All 8 Bolts remaining, although cut short – various markings on the heads including 764/2, BB1 and possibly the most interesting AW26 and AW38H. Armstrong Whitworth perhaps?
There is also a MkIII type clock in the centre but it looks to be a civilian motoring type, as the numerals are “Roman” and either yellow or blue and there is a perspex cut-out in the case presumably fr lighting purposes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
