I had not heard of this theft. Dispicable! I learnt to fly and got my PPL at Bourn. All good memories of planes and interesting pilots. Some interesting/challenging/hairy flying moments though! – John

Not replaced that I know of.

If you are a Bourn fan – have you read Tuesday’s War by David Fiddimore?

Not to be taken seriously, but a good fun read based around a Lancaster flying from ‘Bawn’, an airfield that seems strangely Bourn-like.

The “News!!” entry on the Bourn website about the theft is probably something around six or eight years old.

That said, I do agree with you.
