Propeller on the quayside in Falmouth

Anybody know the origins of the propeller sitting against a fence in the quayside carparks in Falmouth? Presumably its been fished out of the sea, as one blade is quite corroded and the other two are in much better shape. Buried in the sand perhaps.

I always thought the propeller was from a Catalina? Not sure why though so not sure if that helps!

Hi guys,

I’ll go and get a pic tomorrow . . .and speak to the staff in the pub. The blades are in the feathered position if that helps?

Cheers,

Andy.
