Proposed French Combat Aircraft Fleet

the following two tables come in the wake of the arrival into service of the
Rafale and proposed changes passed in the wake of the French MoD budget for
2003-2008. There are a couple of interesting details within the first table:
imminent withdrawal of the Mirage F.1C/B models and, sadly, of the wonderful
Mirage IVP. Also, 20 Mirage 2000Ns are set to go by 2008.

The French fleet of combat aircraft will gradually evolve with the entry
into service of the Rafale, along the following proposed time-scale shown on the attached HTML file
