I am making an exception to my rule of not watching reality TV programmes and watching Space Cadets. There is a thread running on GD but raise the subject here due to an item on programme 1 when the makers were shopping for props.
Thats props in the luvvie sense!
However the “shop” they were at looked most interesting – did they say near Colchester?
I may be wrong but it looks like a scrappy may have found a lucrative sideline renting out aircraft, engines, missiles, etc to film and TV companies.
Anyone know any more?

When I dropped in a couple of months ago they said that they soon planned to specialise in film work only….
….I now just need a garden big enough for that Viscount nose 🙂

I thought Hanningfields had to close & move out sometime around now (end 2005) ?
If true, is that why they have a sudden rash of sales on ebay over the past months ?

Yup,
Yard at Stock, the Viscount and Andover Cockpits in the background were discussed here a month or so ago.
Some of the other aircraft items have been leased to Bond film production at Elstree in the past.

Could be parts from Hanningfield Metals as they do a lot of film prop supplies.
