Is the first/prototype DC-8 Cn 45252 regi N8008D still stored at Marana – Pinal Airpark AZ ?
I was wondering if it also will be preserved just like Boeing have done with there prototype 707,727, 737 and 747

DC10 & DC 9
Looks like not good news for both.
DC-10 number 1 NA 101AA was seen being broken up Sept 2002 at Marana AZ
DC-9 number 1 was last seen Grayson Texas 1995. Some parts missing..to be broken up??
I guess Douglas Corp doesn’t quite have the same appeal as Boeing!!
🙁

The last time I was at marana, now some 9 years ago, the machine was standing in the desert. All engines gone, aswell as other parts. I doubt it is still surviving as it was already more or less derelict then. It was in orange colours, and was Mexican registrated. BW Roger
