Pulkovo to fly St Petersburg-London

The St Petersburg aviation entity Pulkovo will from June 2
open its regular air communication between St Petersburg and
London under its own flag. IA NOVOSTI informed the entity’s
press-service the quantity of international destinations in
which PULKOVO operate its flights under its own flag has
amounted to 32.
Flights will be performed by Tu-154Ms thrice a week: on
Wednesday and Sunday to a London airport Gatwick, and on
Saturday – to Heathrow airport . In the near future the
St.Petersburg carrier will open in the capital of Great Britain
its office-already the 44th. The office will take responsibility
for transportation market development in Great Britain and
Ireland the more so because within the framework of 2004 summer
season PULKOVO also intends to operate regular flights under its
own flag to Shannon and Dublin. In the future the Pulkovo
enterprise promises to perform flights on a route St Petersburg
– London daily.

They do normally operate the Saturday lunchtime AFL243(?) and I have seen them in the week at LGW so I guess its just AFL washing their hands of a uneconomic route?

I think St Petersburg – LGW – St Petersburg is operated by Pulkovo on behalf of Aeroflot. Not sure about LHR

It comes to Heathrow very regularly, is that in partnership with Aeroflot though?
