After being in my care for a few years now, I am pleased to announce that my Lancaster ammunition tracking sections will be changing hands and utilised to complete the interior fit in Lancaster FM159 in Alberta. They were stored outdoors amongst other scrap and misc lanc parts and I managed to id them first sight and save them from further damage. I held onto them as I knew one day a project would need them and it was only right that they return back to what they were built for rather than mounted in a wall or gathering dust in a museum.

That would be a cool find Adrian! Baz, they were not too bad when I picked them up However while in storage I kept giving them a coat of protective spray which has helped.

Well Done Peter and good that you find a good home. I found a ammoduct years ago with the recovery of the remains of a Stirling bomber. You can imagine how we found it. A big and heavy lump and when we cleaned up an ammo duct with lots of .303 ammo appears.
Cheers,
Adrian

Well done, they look in great condition. Did you clean them up or was that how they were?

That’s good to see. Heritage is important, a very commendable act.
