Does anyone think that the problems with quantas may need a bit more investagation considering theres been i don’t know how many aircraft faults in the past 8 months or am i just a little paranoid it just seems a little to strange for my liking anyone in Australia will know what i’m talking about:cool:

I can understand your possible paranoia but I don’t think there’s anything to worry about.
The big problem is that you had the major incident with the explosive decompression and this was seen all over the world and drew attention to Qantas. The problem is that every little fault, every little incident after that would be magnified a million times. For example not long after the decompression, there was the problem with the nose gear door coming off causing severe vibration.
Had it occured on another carrier it would probably have been ignored. But because it was Qantas, people automatically assumed the airline was unsafe.
Personally I just think they’ve had a bad run.

There’s no u in Qantas by the way…i think most of QF’s current run of problems has a lot to do with outsourcing of maintenance overseas…these sort of things weren’t really heard of when QF done all it’s own maintenance at Mascot and Melbourne
