I am trying to work out the mission system fit for Qatar’s SA.342L helicopters
SA-342L
Military version of the SA 342J civil model built for the French Army, fitted with the more powerful 649-kW (870-shp) Astazou XIV turboshaft engine.
I know it has HOT AT missiles therefore the assumption is that it would need a Fire control optical element (the standerd VIVIAN perhaps?).
But as French helicopters of a similiar type were retrofitted with EWR-99 Missile Warners and ELIPS chaff dispenser it is difficult to know whether the Qatar version has any form of Electro-optical missile warner. Or indeed a radar warning reciever.
Any thoughts anyone?
