Queen Birthday Flypast 2019

Obviously due the today Met no BBMF will be taking part, about 40 mins ago a jet fighter passed maybe doing a check run cloud base etc, will make for an interesting flight.
it passes virtually overhead here so look forward to see todays stream. the reds normally put the smoke on just past Chelmsford City, if I can grab some shots will post later

Disgraceful ! If that is the best the RAF can muster to rank with the Trooping The Colour display which the Army had put on I am ashamed to have served in the mob.

I know that met plays an issue particularly with the BBMF but I have seen far bigger numbers in far worse weather, and or course ‘back in the day’ the flypasts were quite something. I was expecting to see some comment on PPrune in the ‘Military’ forum but the complete silence on the matter speaks volumes. If THAT really was the best we can muster then its probably time to stop embarrassing ourselves, just ditch everything else and send the Reds, Joe public and the gushing BBC commentators wont know the difference :apologetic:

Spectacular Flypasts are becoming relegated into the long list of ‘things we used to do, but no longer seem able ‘..

The weather decimated the flypast here in Essex, not sure how it was at The Mall
We had
1 x BAe 146
4 x Typhoon FGR4
full compliment of Reds

The solo Hawk flew over Chesham at 9.50. After London, the Arrows and helicopters peel off, so what is left is pretty thin, ie 4 Typhoons, an Airbus, a 146, and 2 other small ‘civi’ types.
