For anyone interested I’ve put together a Video Clip of the A380 at Prestwick including some crowd scenes (well it’s never usually that busy).
The Video is 3 Minutes and 44 seconds so longer than any others I have done but it was a special occasion.

Regarding the title I was expecting some nice 747 shots because ”Queen of the Skies” is her slogan (luckily you got the AF and Giant 747, saved my day).
Nice shots.
Fair shout there Maikel.
Maybe the 380 should be known as KING of the skies from here on in?
(off to don flak jacket and hide from the Renton/Everett posse:dev2:)

Fabulous pics. The A380 is one big bird, but for me its the Hercules-fantastic machine!

I like the shot with the tower !
By the way, in today’s Metro (the wee free paper you get on public transport) there was a pic of if flying by BHD with part of the story reading “The world’s largest passenger plane prepares to land at George Best Belfast City Airport”
Aye, prepares to land … right ye are !

Hello Rab,
Your last one of the A380 over the Tower is defiantely the pick of the bunch for me, that one sums up it’s visit very nicely and a really good idea to get it at that angle.
It certainly put on a very good show with those tight turns in it’s 10 minutes at PIK and it came down lower for the go-arounds than many of us thought it would.
Fred.
