Does anyone know of any websites showing airline liveries by aircraft type? I have had a quick look via the search engine but most seem to be about books. I spent 45 minutes watching aircraft landing for the Haj Terminal yesterday (one runway has been set aside for them) and I identified 2 out of 8 (a Syrian B727 & Saudia A300). There was an IL62 with a light Blue tail and a large yellow circle in the top left of the tail, a dark blue (all over) L1011, an IL 96 Dark Blue tail with White taking about a quarter of the back part of the tail and a small yellow logo on the Blue part, a B747 – Blue tail with yellow logo which looked like the old BOAC speedbird and the words on the front fuselage “AIR ….”, the “AIR” was in straightforward black lettering with another word written in fancy Red letters that looked as if it started with P or R and finally 2 aircraft from the same airline landed one after the other – a B767 and a B747 both all white with a Blue tail logo that looked like some kind a triangle shape on its side. I am going to cost cameras next week so if they are cheaper here than UK I will buy one and can then start posting some pictures.

Spot on again Tenthije with the Air Plus B747 and the Uzbekistan IL 62. The IL 62 was in the same colours as the upper picture you posted. I think you are right in that it was an IL86 not an IL96 I saw, I always confuse the two. The blue colouring was the same as in the lower picture you posted but the logo was very small, it looked a bit like a crown but very difficult to tell without Binocs.
Thanks for your help again. On a more positive note I managed to Identify a KABO AIR B747 yesterday, helped by KABO AIR being written in gigantic letters on the side
EAL King – I have not seen any “European” B747s but that is not to say there have not been any. Flights are round the clock and the busiest 2 or 3 days usually sees an extra 600 movements a day over and above the normal traffic.

The IL96 (actually IL86?) might be Air Kazakstan. The tailrudder would be a new one explaining the white bit.

The 747 may be Air Atlanta, they have commited 14 aircraft to the Haj operations…. 14!!!!!!!!!!
