Question for Flood.

Flood.

In your role as Moderator, could you please tell me whether the threat of physical violence when made by pm, implied or otherwise, is acceptable under the Forum Code of Conduct?

Thank you.

I’m really sick of this nonsense, and I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one.

The thread is closed, won’t be reopened.

You will get info about the outcome of the original question when one is available.

This is still under discussion on the mods forum, though I have asked for a resolution soonest.

My problem is, try as I might to follow this thread, I haven’t a clue what it is all about.

Kev. PM me and explain please.

Another thing. Why did Colonial Bird flounce? It is sad to see any contributor leave, even the ones who contribute little to the aviation threads.

Thanks.

Moggy

I have yet to see Kev ‘hurl abuse’. Perhaps you could point out such an instance.

I think I’ve seen Kev in the flesh just the once, have regularly disagreed strongly with him on this very forum and don’t believe I’ve ever corresponded with him in private at all. I would hardly therefore class him as a friend. But use whatever rationalisation for your insulting behaviour you like…

I’ve seen you twice Damien, the second time I managed to avoid you 😉

Nermal.

How will I personally get away with anything? If I have acred incorrectly then the moderators will, of course, moderate me. If they don’t think that then you have nothing to complain about at all. You may notice, since you are in each other’s pockets, that I have not sent one derogatory private message to Flood, CB or yourself. What I’ve had to say I’ve said publicly. I don’t need to hide behind my anonymity.

You have accused me of flaming, strangely though, it’s your posts that were deemed to require ‘tidying up’, not mine. If Flood is so insecure and paranoid that the believes every thread is about him I suggest he reevaluate his position. I know he isn’t.

I posed the question to Flood as he is seen, and indeed portrays himself, as the dominant Moderator on GD. Frank tries to compromise, Flood is the master of the ‘big stick.’ One only has to remember the amount of warnings he has issued. Now, just so you can get this straight in your head….

AT NO TIME HAVE I EVER INSINUATED THAT FLOOD HAS PERSONALLY THREATENED MYSELF OR ANYONE ELSE WITH PHYSICAL VIOLENCE.

“but in fact it is someone else who is sticking up for his friend who is still getting slagged off even after she was banned – ooh what a give-away. Having now worked out that it was EN830 who received the PM concerned (so why have you have stuck your nose in?)”

My nose was stuck in because I was just sticking up for a friend. All right for you but apparently not for me? Double standard? I was, and remain, appalled that threats of physical violence were made. I just wanted to find out from the dominant moderator on GD what his view was in respose to this. And got no response at all other than the vitriol and invictive spouted by his cheerleading team.

Why should I post my opinion? Why should I comment? I am sick to death of trying to mediate, defend or otherwise help in spats between friends, acquaintances or just members. So far it has cost me two friendships that I valued quite highly and has put others into a perspective that I would have been happier not to have wanted.

So, no comment. You can take all your petty squabbles, all of you, and **** off and leave me to remember the fun place this used to be.

The amusing names that I quoted are as English as can be, Sean.

One of the most amusing features of these beers is the state of one’s head the morning after prolonged and liberal consumption. 😮

You can’t have had Tanglefoot, Hobgoblin or Bishop’s Finger then, ageorge.

If you like a spot of heavy, you’d lap ’em up…. :D:D:D

What is this Belhaven Best?

Tennants Velvet
Tennants 70 Shilling
Tennants 80 Shilling
Belhaven Best

All are Scottish “heavy ” beers , no fizzy pee coloured water up here , dark brown and little or no fizz . Great .

Only English beer I like is Theakstons Old Peculiar .

Lager is the devils spunk and should thrown into the burny fires :dev2:

Come on people, I’m sure there’s a freindly neighborhood liquor store open somewhere nearby…

Just got a slab of Belhaven Best and a litre of Aberlour – I fully intend to be blitzed by midnight . Burp.

One final and salutary point I have noticed regarding this thread….

Neither Flood, Nermal or the flouncing Colonial Bird have condemned the threats or even intimated that they may be unacceptable.

Speaks volumes really doesn’t it?

Ah, well- what can I say? Kev’s boy toy has spoken. Obviously nobody cares about the kind of person they throw their weight behind. Probably more about keeping the boys club intact than anything else; as you all join in when it’s Kev and Co. doing the talking, but are so quick to trash me.

All right than, boys. Have your He-Man Women Haters club back. I’ve got more important things to do,anyway- though this has been fun.

Ciao.
