It is widely known that the Boom style of refueling is far superior to that of the hose and drogue, but why is this only used in the USAF? The rest of the world has opted for the tried and tested HaD system.
Is this because the USAF won’t export it for some reason (a lot of countries now use a/c that are boom capable, anyone who uses the F-16 is note worthy or even us with our F-111’s)
Why won’t the US export this?
