Quick question about first choice

My parents are going to greece in a week and were wondering if First choice use those 2 prong headphones instead of normal ones.

See, My ‘My Travel’ heaphones are two-prong, yet they supplied an adapter for making them a one-prong headset…hehehehe…

Yep, one of the prongs folds down, so it makes them into a one prong headset.

I think MyTravel headphones are the nicest ones anyway.

I’ve never seen that before – all the airlines I’ve been on have 1-socket systems. Maybe it is a charter thing?

Yes, money grabbing charters. The 2 prong adaptor isn’t sophisticated technology 😉

Im traveling with First Choice this coming Tuesday to malta. I have a set of headphones (2 prong) from a Zoom 767 – if i was to take these with me, would they work on board?

Cheapskate! :p

You could fork out £3 for a souvenir First Choice pair!

THIS POST WAS MERELY A JOKE. DON’T ANYONE HAVE A WHINGE AT ME.

If you already have airline head sets they should work on most aircraft.

Ive just flown with FCA today, and although they are two prong adaptors, what you wont know until you try is that one prong headphones also work perfect.

We take our MyTravel and Virgin Sun headphones with us 🙂

..or spending the whole flight in the toilet to get their money’s worth and to make sure they don’t need to go again.

Yeah, but if they did that they might start getting passengers going to the toilet on their seat!!!!

The Thompson-Brittania 757 I flew in 2 weeks ago had a 1-prong system but I’ve seen a fair number of 2-prong ones over the years.

It’s a disgusting money-making scheme IMO.

I’m surprised no-one has thought of charging for using the toilet yet…

maybe the aircraft you flew on was newer and therefore had a upgraded system

That sounds like a good money-making scheme. Airline sells you headphone connectors but they don’t fit all their a/c !!??

Yeah, last week I flew on them and you buy them for £2 each! That was the way there and on the way back they didnt fit because it was a diffrent aircraft but we didnt bother getting any new ones!

If you plug your own ‘one plug’ phones in to a ‘two plug socket’ it will still work, only in one ear. Unless of course they are using the old stethoscope type system but I haven’t seen that for a while now.

I think it is safe to say that they do.

I’m not 100% on this, but don’t most airlines use these 2 prong ones? That way, they make extra cash out of you because you have to pay for a special pair of headphones in order to watch the inflight movie.

I’m sure you can buy an adaptor on eBay for about £1.50 to convert your existing headphones though.
