Could a Herald expert please tell me about the end of the days for G-ATIG. I have had a look on the net but it is not conclusive. Am I right in saying she was in the Norwich Aviation Museum before ending up on the airport fire dump and that she is still there??
Many Thanks

I just came across this thread. I’m saddened to read that G-ATIG was destroyed at Norwich. I also have very fond memories of the aircraft’s time with Brymon. I used to spend a lot of time at RAF St.Mawgan and G-ATIG was a very familiar sight and sound. I can still hear the shrill whistle of those engines as she taxied out from the airport dispersal. What shame that she’s gone the way of so many other great aeroplanes 🙁

Indeed, happy memories of Brymon operating IG between Newquay and Gatwick.

Yes, especially as EMA Aeropark would have willingly taken ‘TIG and repainted her in BMA colours with who she once flew.

Many thanks for the replies. A sad end for a lovely aircraft.

G-APWH was scrapped a few years ago.

Thanks for that info
The fuse of G-APWH was a Norwich as well…….has that gone?

Taken July 2006.

It was particularly disapointing to loose G-BEYF as well this year.

G-ATIG last flew with BAC Cargo and after grounding at Norwich was taken on by the Airport Fire Dept.
However, she was not used for destructive training and bacame a ground handling trainer. Sadly, I believe she was scrapped (with fuselage of G-AVEZ on the fire dump) only a couple of months ago.:(
Anyone with any photos?

Sadly G-ATIG was broken up in the summer.
City of Norwich Aviation Museum have G-ASKK on display.
