A parliamentary commitee has called for a quota system of selection to increase the number of what The Sun delightfully calls ” girl MPs “.
It also suggests that the system should be used to increase the number of MPs of other minorities currently under-represented in the House of Commons.
Would anyone like to comment ?

I think the only positive discrimination should be shown to those who can offer a modicum of common sense.

The only comment I have is that any sort of weighted selection is wrong. In any selection process the key crirterium should always be that the best individuals should be considered, regardless of sex, colour, ethnicity ( what a dreadful word ) or creed.
Shouldn’t the last word be “greed”!
