Ditto

If everything was agreed and finalised etc then Airlines wouldnt be able to cancel orders or defer deliveries of aircrat.

Another thing we CAN be sure of is that Airbus will always outdo Boeing 😀 in all aspects (sales, technology etc) – joke –

Agreed.

I don’t claim to have a wealth of experience in this industry. But in my dealings with airlines so far the one thing you can gaurantee in aviation is that nothing is gauranteed

As Airline Owner said, excuse my ignorance but what the hell happened to them?

I guess this explains why 3 of their 747-200’s are parked up at Filton, i can only assume they are there for a cargo conversion for MK airlines? anyone know anything about this?
I will try to pop down there and get some photos in the next week before they disappear

there’s an 747 parked at AMS. It was undergoing heavy maintenance, it has even had its engines removed. What will happen to it. Will someone buy it and finish of the overhaul, or will it be scrapped?

While I only ever saw one EAL a/c (G-CEAE B732) At MAN last year, never got close to flying an EAL plane and didn’t particularly like either livery (though I thought the 2nd one was better) I am very sad to see them go as they are British. Good luck to all employees.

Apparently that is exactly what they will be doing.

One for EAL_KING.

Shame for the employees who have lost their jobs. Sad to say some of them will face very hard times over the coming months.

According to the local news 560 jobs have been lost at Bournemouth, leaving only 100 all thoughter. Any ideas if they are still likely to be operating anything? Perhaps continuing there 737 charter flights?
Shame to see them go they have brought many interesting aircraft to the BOH skyline. The best being the Austral 1-11’s and the Mexican 737’s.

Don’t get too upset….European will live on, but at only 25% of the size it once was. It was announced on the local news this morning that the airline will be working much more closely with Bath Travel, but it will remain in the air, just massively restructured.
