The pilot, now named as Dave ‘Swampy’ Traill was a one time Chinook display pilot.

A major tragedy, the loss of the crew and the pub-goers.

I also ended up watching the news until the early hours in hope that there would be no fatalities. It’s such sad news that the helicopter crew were killed and others on the ground too.

I hear that they had a minutes silence in remembrance earlier today which is ironic really as at the time I was at a memorial in London for a relative of mine that had died in Thailand a few weeks ago.

Blue skies, i was going to bed when i saw someone post it on facebook, i ended up watching the news till 5am with fingers crossed that there would be no fatalities, sadly that wasnt to be the case
