Anyone who is interested in RAAF and Australian Aero Club history from the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s will enjoy the podcast series I have been recording with Noel Kruse, a kiwi here in Cambridge who grew up across the ditch and flew in the RAAF. He trained on Chipmunks, Winjeels and Vampires and flew operationally on Sabres – including in the Indonesian Confrontation war – and then Caribou and Hercules. He started his own aerobatic flying school in Sydney after his RAAF service and continues to teach aerobatics now from Hamilton Airport, here in the Waikato. Noel is a superb storyteller and I have really enjoyed recording these stories.
