RAAF Hawk Mk127s

The BAe Systems Hawk Mk127 (LIFT) have been in service with RAAF since November 22nd. The RAAF Hawks are the most advanced in the world, with HOTAS, HUD and an advanced cockpit featured 3 large multi funtion LCDs desinged to resemble the cockpits of advanced 4th generation aircraft such as the F/A-18A+ HUG Hornet.
Apart from advanced jet training for prospective fast jet pilots (both F/A-18 and F-111), the Hawks will serve in a secondary light point defence fighter role, carrying 4 AIM-9Ms and a centreline gun pod. 12 examples were built by BAe Systems in Britain, the other 21 were/are being built by Hunter Aerospace at RAAF Williamtown.
Apart from being a massive step up from the Macchi’s they’re replacing, the Hawks are also incredibly good looking!!! The paint job they have must be one of the best in the world!!!
