Three ex-RAAF HS748’s are due to fly to the UK over the next few months.
The first of the three VH-AMQ (A10-603) arrived at Southend on 19th February.
The second aircraft VH-AHL is currently on her way, the third will leave Oz when the crew of VH-AHL arrive back to pick the aircraft up, this aircraft is expected some time in March.
All will remain at Southend for Avionic work and onward sale.
So if you fancy seeing what is becoming a rare breed in military colours get down to Southend.
The first aircraft (VH-AMQ) is currenty parked on the North Side, if you go down Aviation Way park up close to the old aircraft museum and make your way between two buildings (Flights and cant rember) for the best view.

My computer recently sufferd a total hard drive failure so I up-graded from win98 to XP when I attempted to install my digital camera software windows warned me that it would cause XP to become unstable so I am currently unable to copy photo from camera to computer but…

That would be a real shame as these aircraft were in very good shape and would make great little frieghters – Oh well?????

I have a funny feeling that we are going to have three scrap 748’s at Southend shortly
unless the seller is incredibly lucky!
