Hi:)
I´ve built a few scale models of racing and record planes and I think some of you might be interested to take a look. I build only in 1/72nd scale to have a good comparison in dimensions of the planes.
First I´ll post only one or two pics of each model. In a few days I´ll make some better pics with a better background.
1. Bearcat “RareBear” Race# 77 (the king!!!)
2. Yak11 “CzechMate” Race# 86
3. Mustang “World Jet” Race#38
4. Lockheed Vega “Winnie Mae” Around the world flight in 1931(8 days, 15 hours, 51 minutes)
5. F2-G Goodyear Super Corsair (engine scratchbuilt from over 150 parts:cool:)
Planes under construction will be shown when finished(RareBear 1999, P63 Kingcobra No.90, scratchbuilt what-if-racer Lavochkin La5FN, GeeBee and a lot of others are planned).
Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, the air racers are really fascinating. The next racers will be shown in a few weeks. It´ll be Yak-11 “Mr.Awesome” and Hawker Sea Fury “Miss Merced”(also known as “Signal Sea Fury”), both from High-Planes-Models in 1/72nd scale. Construction is mostly done, just need to paint them and attach the decals and landing gears. The Yak already looks like a hulking monster. A lot of fuselage and prop with very small wings. It looks as dangerous as it is/was.
Stay tuned:)

You have some great models there. I have a great interest in all air racers ( unlimiteds, goodyear/Formula One and pre war) and accumulated a fair number of kits in varying scales but have landed up buying diecasts as my eyesight isn’t good enough now to make kits to a decent standard.
