Radar failure over Scotland/Oceanic

Hi all
Scottish control and Shanwick report loss of radar and possibly radio this evening, aircraft put into holding patterns all over the place, GLA and EDI flights grounded aircraft relying on TCAS.

I havent heard anything about it bar here – maybe there was a news blackout to avoid panic? I am sure the red tops would have a field day with this if they found out!

Seems to have been a 2-3 hour window it was down, and running on back up for half that time, there was 2 fedex and 2 reach flights holding over Tiree for about an hour also apparently….havent been able to find out anything more about it

Really? Seems ok on openatc. Must be a nightmare for pilots.
