Radio Play "Twelve O'Clock High"

Found this wonderful two part gem today on YOUTUBE… The film is my alltime favorite …. great story about the early days of the Eighth ! I read somewhere this was released in a radio version ………..some good person posted it here in two parts. No film deals with leadership under the strain of combat like this one does. A visit by any one will tell you the price the USAF gave in WW II when you walk in that cemetery outside Cambridge ! Long live the story of what these young men wrote in the annuals of military history during their long hard days in the UK as they developed a winning plan for the air war over Europe !

Is that the version that was broadcast by the BBC in Saturday Night Theatre around 1950? I can still remember listening to it. It was before the film version was released.
