Having seen John Romain and Peter Teichman flying in formation with the Belgian Air Force, F16, at Eastbourne at the weekend I was curious as to whether it was possible for Warbird pilots to fly in formation with current RAF aircraft?

I don’t think the BBMF do it unless they are ex RAF pilots in the others. And judging by what happened at Legends you cannot blame them.
Thats a good point.
Both Paul Day and Al Pinner have gone back and flown with the BBMF on the odd occasion, so it seems quite understandable that they stick with who they know and trust.

I’ve seen the BBMF flying with current frontline jets – Spitfire/Typhoon for example. And the Red Arrows with the Vulcan
Both of which are manned by Current RAF or ex RAF pilots and Crew, the question referred to Civilian pilots in formation with RAF aircraft.
Even if the BBMF join in a Balbo I think you will find they are all in their own little group, Dead Sparrows and Concorde may have been one with a Civi crew, but who is to know if the Concorde crew was not ex RAF
