A number of RAF a/c of the ‘silver decades’ had their top decking painted green as (presumably) an anti-glare measure. Was there any official colour for this green? Looking at a variety of illustrations it looks a little different from the Dark Green camo colour – but that could just be the printing, of course.

I believe that in many cases NIVO was used , but this may not have been the only colour used as some illustrations appear to show a brighter green .
