A few shots from an enjoyable couple of hours at the local. All of Oxfordshires finest featured in the circuit. The Funbus and the C-17 were crew training while the single Tristar movement was Fagin 51.
The crosswinds made some landings interesting and the clouds occasionally let the sun through.

Easy does it

Keep shovelling the coal in! I am really going to miss them when they are gone.
A quick circuit was flown by a C-130 before heading back to Lyneham.

I know but I’m learning as fast as I can:D To be serious though I am trying to pass on my love of all things aviation :D(except flying machines made of tent parts) to my youngest son and my grandson.

You are not alone, I too will miss the VC10’s when they go. If only because they are noisy, smoky and smelly. Still a great machine though.
Indeed Mike ..the halcyon days of aviation..the younger generation don’t know what they missed :D

Great photos Nick, shame about those ugly wing-engined ones getting in the frames though 😉
