I’m looking for some info regarding the crash of a C130 Hercules that occurred in 1971 somewhere between RAF Sharjah and RAF Salalah, there does not, apparently, appear to be any reference to this on the web.
Any buffs out there that can help would be appreciated, thanks.

There’s no mention of such an incident in ‘Lost to service’. The only overseas RAF Herc loss was XV216 which flew into the sea off the Italian coast. Maybe the incident wasn’t as serious as you think. Do you have any more info that might help?
