A man has holed himself up in RAF Kinloss armed with a high velocity rifle forcing the base to be closed with all staff and nearby residents in Findhorn and Kinloss warned to stay away and remain vigilant.
It’s believed the man may be a serviceman disgruntled at the proposed redundancies at the base and the potential basing of the new MR4 Nimrods ar RAF Waddington.
