It might have been mentioned before?
The Open Univerity once did an interesting programme on the fatigue life of the Canberra, alas it was on late at night on BBC2. It featured the ex 51 Sqn Canberra that was used by the RAF CSDE at Swanton Morley but cannot remember what it was called.
Flypast once had a article with pictures on the line at Samlesbury……

More seriously, I’ve got some photos somewhere which I took at Samlesbury in the early 1970s and I’ll try to dig them out this weekend.
I seem to remember there were a bunch being refurbished to be sent to a chap called Pinochet in Chile, sound fella don’t you know! :diablo:
