RAF Mk 4 flying helmet

I’ve just acquired a mk4 flying helmet, I want to refurbish it, does anyone have a manual on the process of stripping these helmets down?

I have found the manufacture of the helmets quite helpful but when it comes to taking the paint of I’d just use wet-and-dry sand paper reducing to a finer grade as you get down to the origional primer layer..
