I hope no one minds me asking, but more help needed 😮
Regarding RAF Montrose and RAF Kinnell this time
Was the Defiant MKII ever stationed their?
I have found the original Defiant was their but cannot find any records for the MKII
I assume they must have been their as a local farmer used over 20 props from the MKII for fence posts and claimed they all came from Montrose/kinnell bases and I would love to know for sure

Afraid I cannot find any reference to Mk IIs being stationed operationally at either Montrose or Kinnell.
However, 44 MU was handling Defiants among many other types in the later war years and were based at Kinnell and just up the road at Edzell . Perhaps the blades came from them?
