Popped up to Hendon at last they have a set time for the Graham White Hangar, 10.00 till 12.00

Cant say I am impressed with the Milestones of Flight hall. It looks huge but hasnt much in it and the choice of aircraft in it could form a total debate – KI100? Why not a Lightning or even better a Fairey Delta/BAC Upgraded version. Nothing Russian in there! Nice view of the Mosquito though. And does Hendon need 2 Tempests? That MKV would have looked great in the cold war hall at Cosford.

The Bomber Hall is very echo like, what with the Valiant gone to Cosford and Vimy in the new hangar and the Battle gone to MAPS. You can see the Bucc clearly with not much round it. Nice! Wheres the DH9? Whats the Spitfire got to do with bombing? More to the point does the RAFM need a really glossy spit when it allready has that lovely MKV, a MK24, a MK1 in the BOB hall and a replica on a pole outside (which along with the Hurricane is crying out for a repaint)

and I’d love to be the one charged with finding a relevant scheme the Mitchell rather than its dreary (ad authentic) markings.

Any news Hampden wise?
