RAF Museum on BBC TV

From the RAF Museum web site:

Brick By Brick : Rebuilding Our Past.

On Good Friday at 9pm BBC2 will be showcasing the Museum’s Grahame-White Watch Office Restoration Project in a documentary that explores its dismantling brick by brick from its original site, relocation to the Museum’s site and its restoration back to its former glory.

During the course of this documentary architectural engineer Charlie Luxton explores how this vast and complex jigsaw puzzle is pieced back together, trying his hand at the array of the original crafts required.

The brick by brick concept will be interesting to see considering the photos posted of the place getting pulverised after the stonework had been salvaged.

The famous aviator lived in Rushden for a time. He was educated at Bedford Grammar School. Good link here http://www.rushdenheritage.co.uk/people/Grahame-white.html
