Should keep some people interested.

There are some great pics on there. I really like the Hawker Typhoons pictured at the old GAC airfield at Hucclcote. All Typhoons were built at GAC Glos. The Jet Age Museum has a long term restoration of a Typhoon cockpit by a some of the guys there. I have just joined the Museum & had a nice chat about the resto. when I visited the workshop last weekend. Some of the other chaps are re-painting the Vucan nose at Staverton Airport.

I think Flightglobal should be congratulated on doing a remarkable job in putting these excellent old ‘Flight’ photographs and cutaway drawings on the net, not to mention a vast majority of their magazines from cover to cover.
It would be unusual for any museum or collection to put this amount of info out for public use (which is actively encouraged by FG) but for a major publishing outfit to do this for no financial gain is truly admirable in this age of trying to make money on every service or item.
I personally consider the Flightglobal archive to be the most reliable and vast resource on British aviation that there is, the fact that we can all tap into it at anytime is just fantastic.

I wonder if the “female aircraft workers” (2 pics) are taken of Whitley production as they are sandwiched between other Whitley shots? Perhaps Elliott can identify?
