Hi!!!
Does anyone know anything about the Harrier at RAF Predannack that appears to have had several mods including an extended tailboom? Some people on 28DL were asking about it!

Yeah not rare as such but dwindling in numbers now, doubt they will be saved, aircraft go to Predannack to die – usually at the hands of Culdroses’ fire section.
The Harriers usually come via the School of Aircraft Handling dummy deck at Culdrose when their usefulness has expired, the one pictured looks like something nasty has hit the engine.

It’s not amazingly rare – just a bog standard Harrier T.4

Thanks for that………..! I never knew that re the two seat Harrier. I guess that these might be quite rare? It seems to have an engine too. Hopefully it can be saved at some point?

Any chance of saving one of those? Wouldn’t mind taking the cockpit of that seaking :p

All the earlier type two seat Harriers (T.2, T.4, T.8) had extended tail booms, I believe to extent the rear control nozzle further back down the centre of gravity to compensate for the extra frontage
